PDNC started its operation by selling computer
hardware and rendering services such as computer repair
and assembly. It sold its first computer hardware when
it was renting office space at Agapita Complex, a small commercial
facility in Los Baños in
2003.
In its early years, PDNC served institutions such as the University of
the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), Colegio de Los Baños (CDLB),
Divine Word College-Mindoro (DWCM) and electronics giant
NEC Philippines. It also accommodated individual clients
during that time.
A major turnaround for PDNC was its strategic partnership with the Laguna
State Polytechnic College (LSPC) in 2003 which gave the
corporation opportunity to expand its operations covering
several campuses of the state-owned college.
In exchange for physical space and at an agreed lease value,
PDNC provided a computer center for each of the campuses
deploying over 600 units for its computer laboratories
and internet needs.
Since then, the company began taking on more challenging projects such
as the computerization of LSPC, a three-phase project aimed
to ease the burden of both students and school staff especially
during registration. This covers the computerization of
registrar, accounting, cashier, administration, guidance,
supply, library, research and extension departments.
Considered a bold step for the
state college, the project aims to streamline operations
and eliminate bureaucratic procedures. Its completion
is much anticipated as this project
will revolutionize the way state colleges are run at
the administrative level.
