On August 30, the PDNC team composed of VP Sam Estrella, heads of research and technical support, Janfel Villahermosa and Cesar Macaraig, respectively, presented to the Board of Trustees (BOT) the accomplishment report regarding the computerization project of Laguna State Polytechnic State College (LSPC).

The college, headed by the well-admired and well-respected Dr. Ricardo Wagan envisions LSPC to be at the forefront of state university administration with the introduction of a computerized student registration as well as semi-automated administrative procedures. PDNC’s accomplishments presented were the completion of network installations and server deployment for each of the Los Baños and Sta. Cruz campuses. The computerization project for LSPC will be maximizing the potential benefits of both Wyred System and Cablinet System, both unique products of PDNC.
Phase I of the LSPC computerization project involves the network installation, server deployment and software module installation for the above-mentioned campuses of LSPC. Phase II will include the installation of additional computer programs for the administration and research and extension for the campuses of not only Los Baños and Sta. Cruz but of San Pablo and Siniloan campuses as well.
Present during the BOT meeting were highly regarded officials in the person of Hon. Saturnino Ocampo, Commissioner of the CHED, Atty. Rodolfo Noel Quimbo representing Sen. Juan Flavier, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, Dr. Severino Santos NEDA Region IV Director, Ms. Roselyn Enrique representing Hon. Cynthia Villar, Chairperson on Committee on Higher and Technology Education, Hon. Ruperto Espinueva, Faculty Association Federated President, and Mr. Rogelio Olaez Jr., Supreme Student Council Federated President.
The LSPC officials were led by President Wagan together with VP for Research and Extension, Nestor De Vera. Accompanying them were three other officials comprising the LSPC Administrative Board. President Wagan concurrently stands as the Board’s Chairman.
The BOT meeting was held at the Astoria Plaza Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City.
