What are the ADVANTAGES of using the Wyred
System?
The
Wyred System is a Linux/Network based system. It runs a variety of
Linux and Java-based applications.
It can do almost everything Windows
can do.

system is far more secure than the most popular operating system today. It is not
affected by majority of computer viruses. Even if it gets
infected, because of its design, it will not spread. The
virus will be isolated to the user account it infected. It
is also equipped with SELinux and Firewall. With the system,
you will have peace of mind.
VERSATILITY. With
Wyred, one gets to experience the real meaning
of versatility. It can also run some Windows applications
under an emulator like Wine and Crossover Office.
CENTRALIZED ADMINISTRATION . To
some, centralization means easier manageability while for others,
it means something more beyond
manageability. It is a critical consideration to achieve
productivity. Using Wyred System puts you in front of the
steering wheel by giving you, the manager, control over the
use of programs or applications within
the network allowing only relevant applications to run
on the thin clients.

nor software to install and maintain in every workstation
except for the server.
Upgrades in hardware and/or updates in software
are cheaper since only the server have to be upgraded and/or
updated and not the workstations. Upgrading the server automatically

are now run in the server and no longer individually in workstations.
Furthermore, less manpower is required to run the system because you only have to manage the server and not the individual workstations. Since there are no hard disks installed at the workstations, there is less power consumption. Less heat is generated because earlier versions of processors are used. The thin client runs the GUI and input/output
